30 years of Double Dare by Trey-Vore 30 years of Double Dare by Trey-Vore
This is one of several overdue 80s tributes I had coming.

On October 6, 1986, courtesy of Nickelodeon a game show for children was aired called Double Dare.

Hosted by the one and only Marc Summers, he would ask trivia questions to a pair of kids who count either answer the question, or "Dare" the opposing team for double the dollars.  But be careful though, they could "Double Dare" you back for quadruaple the dollars, or you could take a Physical Challenge.  At the end, whoever had the most money would win and proceed to the Obstacle Course at the end of the show, where you and your teammate would go through 8 obstacles grabbing and passing a flag in an effort to win amazing prizes.

The show would later be retitled Super Sloppy Double Dare, Family Double Dare and would return in 2000 with Jason Harris the new host in Double Dare 2000.

I remember Marc Summers once expressed disdain over how Nickelodeon is right now.  I wonder what he may be planning?

Happy 30 years of Double Dare!
